NASA astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir stepped outside the International Space Station today to replace a faulty battery unit, marking the very first all-female spacewalk in history.



It is a milestone that is, quite frankly, long overdue, but it was absolutely fantastic to watch them methodically execute the repairs floating 250 miles above the Earth. It is a powerful, inspiring moment for women in STEM around the world, proving once again that the void of space cares only about your competence and preparation.
