My first attempt at capturing Andromeda.

This image was created from 44 stacked images totalling about 44 minutes exposure, the accuracy of the tracking only allowed for 1 minute exposures - something that I need to work on.

I was using my Megrez72. No guiding, just polar aligned. Photographed with an unmodified DSLR (at prime) hence no colour data.

The Andromeda Galaxy is about 2.5 million light-years from Earth, it is named after the mythological princess Andromeda.
