An absolutely stunning spectacle captured on the 9th of March over parts of Indonesia and the Pacific Ocean. Seeing the photographs floating around online today reminds me so much of my own unforgettable trip to Hao Atoll back in 2010. There is something profoundly moving about the sight of the solar corona spilling out around the dark silhouette of the Moon. It completely stops you in your tracks and forces you to just contemplate our place in this giant cosmic clockwork system. Definitely a reminder that I need to plan another eclipse trip in the future, as nothing else on Earth compares to those few fleeting minutes of daytime darkness.
